Hypnotherapy + Life Coaching
Welcome,
I am an Inclusive Education Teacher with 27 years of experience in the field Education, a Life Coach and Hypnotherapist. My experience in working with individuals diagnosed with ADHD (Attention- Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), is that there is an anxiety component, that for some, gets in the way of learning, connecting with others, how they respond to others and how they understand and/or respond to their own emotions. Often emotions can seem too big for these kiddos, and feel overwhelming.
On Thursday evenings, I schedule sessions for children ages 10 – 17 who struggle with attention, fears, memory, impulsivity, anxiety, or lack of motivation. The goal is for each child is personalized. Our minds all think differently, we have different experiences and we respond and have developed beliefs that are unique. We often begin with what a child/parents want more of and less of in the child's life, events that developed certain beliefs and what they are experiencing as a result of the beliefs i.e. fear, anxiety.
When you book a session, I first meet with parents to:
-
Discuss on the phone or Google Meet what your child is experiencing and what you would like to accomplish. Schedule a time to meet.
-
In person meeting with parent(s) and child. I will find out what your child likes, how they think, their strengths and areas for growth, what they 'believe' is true about themselves, and what they are experiencing as a result. This all helps to shape the stories I create to provide EFT, visualization (NLP) and/or hypnotherapy.
-
Explain the model of the mind through story telling for children to understand that the mind is ready to make any changes, they would like to make, that are helpful for them.
-
Try a sample of visualization or any other technique.
-
Schedule session(s) and provide Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), neurolinguistic programming (NLP) with visualization and metaphors and/or hypnotherapy using storytelling to release unhelpful beliefs that are causing levels of anxiety and reoccurring anxious thoughts.
